Since 2019, Communities of Care (CoC), a five-year initiative that supports collaborative approaches to wellbeing in the greater Houston Metropolitan Area, has partnered with local leaders, residents, and organizations to address the systemic drivers of health inequities and work toward sustainable, community-driven change.

The Timeline of Resistance is an interactive presentation tool that uncovers the social justice roots of the field of public health, explores historical and contemporary racial justice movements, and provides strategies for the field to reclaim its social justice origins.
