Initiatives & Projects
We partner with community-based organizations, government agencies, philanthropy, public health organizations, and others on initiatives and projects that advance health, safety, and wellbeing through community-centered practice, upstream prevention, health equity, and racial justice.
Our Initiatives and Projects
Initiatives
Our initiatives reflect long-term, sustained commitment and investment by our staff and funders in a specific body of work. We often build initiatives over time by bundling multiple projects and funding streams or by seeking reinvestment from a funder.
Reversing deep-seated park and green space inequities in Black, Latine, and Indigenous communities across the country through power-building and policy & systems-change advocacy.
Shaping and guiding philanthropic strategy and practice for prevention and equity
Advancing community-centered policy change across federal and state levels to transform systems, shift investment, and strengthen equitable health, safety, and wellbeing.
Projects
Our projects typically reflect a specific funding stream or contract and are therefore time-limited, tied to the length of that contract. We often bundle projects together to contribute to or form an initiative.
