Since 2019, Communities of Care (CoC), a five-year initiative that supports collaborative approaches to wellbeing in the greater Houston Metropolitan Area, has partnered with local leaders, residents, and organizations to address the systemic drivers of health inequities and work toward sustainable, community-driven change. Through initiatives like Healthy Outdoor Communities, we’ve empowered residents in neighborhoods such as OST/South Union in Houston to advocate for their wellbeing, taking on challenges like environmental justice, safety, and neighborhood
