Technical Assistance and Coaching for CDC Nutrition and Activity Recipients
We provide technical assistance to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded recipients advancing chronic disease prevention strategies across the country. Our support strengthens the integration of health equity into nutrition and physical activity work and builds sustainable, collaborative approaches to community health. We partner with community coalitions and organizations funded through CDC’s Division of Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity to deepen health equity awareness, strengthen coalition leadership, and expand community engagement and sustainability. Through our partnership with Veritas Management Group, Inc., we develop virtual trainings on health equity and racial justice, provide live coaching and action-planning support, and create written tools and resources that guide implementation. As a result, coalitions and organizations increase their ability to authentically engage residents, build sustainable coalition structures, and integrate health equity and racial justice principles throughout their work. This project runs from October 2023 to September 2025.
