Prevention Playing Cards Activities

Prevention Institute

Date Published:  February 2010

Summary

Proponents of community health are constantly being asked to make the case, for example, for increasing access to safe parks, improving air quality, or creating a community program to prevent violence. Our Prevention Playing Cards include frameworks, images, and quotes to help increase your understanding of prevention, community health, and health equity—and prepare you to articulate a primary prevention approach when talking with friends and coworkers, or presenting to community leaders and policy makers. This is a full set of standard playing cards. .

Get started using the cards

Download the Prevention Playing Cards Activities, instructions for sample activities. For example, try Prevention Three Card Draw, and show off your skills in effective communication. It's fun and helps your team build capacity toward making the case for prevention.
