ChangeLab Solutions, Prevention Institute, and the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network are working together to strengthen the capacity of grassroots partners and local and state policymakers to respond to COVID-19 in ways that protect California’s most vulnerable communities. This collaborative is developing a COVID-19 policy agenda that takes the need for stable housing, mental health and wellbeing, food security, and equitable enforcement of emergency and public health powers into account. The collaborative will also focus on public health infrastructure to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and strengthen equitable outcomes in recovery.
This joint report shares how local governments can better partner with community organizations to create a more equitable recovery from the social, economic, and health effects of the pandemic.
