We engage a growing network of multi-sector partners from across the state to act together to change policy and institute organizational practices that make health, safety, and equity a reality in all California communities.
Strategic Alliance for Healthy Food and Activity Environments: In 2001, a network of California nonprofits came together to form the Strategic Alliance for Healthy Food and Activity Environments. Over the past 15 years, Strategic Alliance has successfully shifted the dialogue on healthy eating and activity from one focused on individual responsibility to one that emphasizes government responsibility and corporate accountability.
Healthy, Equitable, Active Land Use Network: Prevention Institute convenes a multi-sector network to strategically address inequities in the land use system that, in turn contribute to health and safety inequities. Focused primarily in Los Angeles, the HEALU Network directly influences land use policies to support more equitable health and safety outcomes.
