Alissa is a Senior Program Assistant for the Safety and Wellbeing team where she supports projects like Safety Through Connections (STC) and Communities of Care (CoC). Prior to joining Prevention Institute, she graduated from University of Delaware with a BA in public policy and anthropology. She spent her senior year as an undergraduate researcher at the Earnshaw HIV and Stigma Lab analyzing data towards resource development for opioid users undergoing recovery treatment. Her past volunteer experience includes sorting survey data at GMHC in NYC on the aging HIV/AIDS community, and supporting sexual health app development at YTH in Oakland. Alissa is thrilled to be working at Prevention Institute, because she is passionate about public health strategies grounded in research, equity, and compassion.
