Perinatal Equity Coordinator with The Public Health Alliance of Southern California (Alliance)
The Public Health Alliance of Southern California (Alliance), is seeking a full-time Perinatal Equity Coordinator to support Cherished Futures for Black Moms & Babies, a multi-sector initiative led by the Alliance, Communities Lifting Communities, and the Hospital Association of Southern California, to reduce Black infant mortality and improve patient experiences and safety for Black moms and birthing people in Los Angeles. The project may expand to include additional Southern California counties.
The Perinatal Equity Coordinator will play a key role in the continued implementation and strategic development for Cherished Futures, engage hospitals, clinics, and community partners to advance systems-level changes to advance birth equity, and help to expand the project’s reach and impact in Los Angeles and other Southern California counties.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate of health equity and racial justice, with strong knowledge of the underlying root causes of health inequities and the impact of racism on health. The Perinatal Equity Coordinator will be well versed in coalition and partnership development, qualitative practices, and have strong presentation and facilitation skills.
The Perinatal Equity Coordinator will also support Alliance colleagues, local health departments, and equity partners to leverage opportunities that address barriers to equity through institutional change, policy change, programmatic operations and protocols, community outreach and engagement, data, and research.
This is a remote, full-time position based in Southern California (Los Angeles preferred) and the candidate will work primarily from their home office.
