From Vision to Reality: U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Howard Koh highlights California leadership, innovation and success for Affordable Care Act Anniversary
As the country marks the one-year anniversary of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, national health leaders gather to discuss the importance of innovation in solving our health crisis, and California's leadership as a bellwether state. U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Howard Koh joins Health and Human Services regional director Herbert Schultz alongside Prevention Institute's Larry Cohen, leading California-based foundations, clinicians and community groups to highlight successes and groundbreaking efforts in building a system that promotes health for all people, not just healthcare for some. Prevention Institute will discuss the important role of community prevention in building health and equity, and will release Community Centered Health Homes: Bridging the gap between health services and community prevention, delineating concrete steps that health care providers can take to actively support community change in order to both improve health and deliver high quality medical care.
