Trevor led the work to develop the framework for Core Public Health Functions for British Columbia and the performance improvement process being used for implementation. He is currently a professor and senior scholar at the School of Public Health and Social Policy, University of Victoria, and was a Public Health Consultant at the Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport in British Columbia. As a consultant, he worked to implement core programs in public health, to increase preventive services in primary care, to foster a population health promotion approach, and to develop a comprehensive self-care strategy.
Throughout his career, Trevor has been a public health physician and health promotion consultant who has worked for local communities, municipal, provincial and national governments, health care organizations, and the World Health Organization. His main areas of interest are health promotion, healthy cities and communities, healthy public policy, environmental health, health policy and planning, and health futurism.
