On January 6, 2010, from 3:00 - 4:30 P.M., Prevention Institute hosted Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett, world-renowned for their work in equity, for a reading of their book, The Spirit Level: Why More Equal Societies Almost Always Do Better.
The authors led a lively discussion about the local and global implications of their research on the relationship between large income inequalities and quality of life for all. The compelling evidence they explore is central to Prevention Institute's mission, purpose and values, and we were thrilled by the amazing turnout from public health universities, community organizations, and the community at large.
